CrossFit Level 1
I’ve spent my entire life in sport. From a young age, competition shaped me by teaching me discipline, resilience, and how to show up when things get hard. Soccer became my primary focus early on. I played competitive club ball growing up, went on to compete at the collegiate level, and continued playing beyond college until I started having kids. Those years taught me what it truly means to train with purpose, to be part of a team, and to pursue excellence day after day. When my soccer career naturally came to a close, fitness wasn’t a new chapter, rather it was an evolution. I transitioned into functional fitness and eventually found my way to CrossFit. That’s where everything clicked. CrossFit reawakened the competitive side of me that I love so much. I’m drawn to the standardization, the measurable progress, and the accountability built into the methodology. There’s something powerful about training that is constantly varied, functional, and done at high intensity while also grounded in structure and purpose. What I love most about coaching is that it doesn’t matter if I’m working with someone pursuing general physical preparedness (GPP) or a high-level competitive athlete. The process is equally meaningful. Helping someone get their first pull-up carries the same fulfillment as refining performance for competition. Progress is progress. I am a true fan of the sport of CrossFit and wholeheartedly believe in the methodology we live by inside our affiliates. It builds resilient, capable humans... not just athletes. Today, I coach the way I trained: with intention, structure, and heart. My goal is to help people unlock their potential, rediscover their competitive edge (whatever that looks like for them), and build a level of fitness that supports both performance and life.
The biggest turning point in my life wasn’t a championship game or a highlight moment on the field. It was the season when I stopped playing. For most of my life, I knew exactly who I was. I was the athlete. The competitor. The one training for something. Soccer had shaped my schedule, my friendships, my drive, and my identity from childhood through college and beyond. Then I became a mom. And while that season was beautiful, it forced me into unfamiliar territory. I wasn’t training for a starting spot. I wasn’t preparing for playoffs. I wasn’t chasing a measurable goal. For the first time in my life, I felt a quiet but persistent enemy creeping in: Who are you now? The enemy wasn’t another team. It wasn’t an injury. It was self-doubt, and the fear that maybe the most competitive, driven version of me was behind me. That turning point forced me to decide whether I would let that voice win… or redefine what was possible. Finding functional fitness, and ultimately CrossFit, is where everything changed. It gave me structure again. It gave me measurable progress. It gave me the opportunity to compete again, but not necessarily against others rather against the version of myself from yesterday. More importantly, it reminded me that identity isn’t tied to a single sport or season of life. It’s built through action.
My purpose for coaching is to help people reconnect with the athlete inside them while building a level of fitness that supports their life outside the gym. I am passionate about working with people who want to feel strong, capable, and confident again. That might mean improving general physical preparedness, returning to fitness after a big life transition, or simply creating structure and consistency in training. I especially enjoy working with former athletes, busy professionals, and parents who are balancing full lives but still want to challenge themselves. People who still have that competitive spark but need a plan, accountability, and support to channel it in a healthy and sustainable way. My motivation comes from watching someone realize they are capable of more than they thought. Whether it is their first pull-up, hitting a new PR, or simply feeling stronger and more energized in their everyday life. I believe in the CrossFit methodology because it develops real-world strength, resilience, and confidence. Fitness should enhance your life, not compete with it. If you are looking for a coach who values both performance and balance, and who will support you while still pushing you to grow, then we will work well together. 💪
