  • The individual rewards are are amazing.

I do CrossFit because I enjoy the sense of community & the opportunity to overcome my own personal fitness challenges. Sometimes I beat the bear, other times the bear beats me.

I would tell anyone interested in CrossFit to stop watching those scary YouTube videos, get off the couch & give it a try. The individual rewards are are amazing. You’ll make new friends that are guaranteed to applaud you, & you’ll feel better.

The individual rewards are are amazing.

  • We push each other to become our best selves.

I crossfit because I grew up being an athlete and these workouts feed my desire to still compete against others. It’s functional fitness that keeps me in shape, gives me energy and provides me positive self-esteem. I would recommend crossfit because every movement can be modified, even for someone who has never participated. It’s a community setting where we push each other to become our best selves.

  • I continue to have the strength to enjoy my family and the outdoor activities I love.

“I do CrossFit to improve the quality of my life so as I age I continue to have the strength to enjoy my family and the outdoor activities I love. I also want my husband to continue to call me big hot smoking momma!”

I continue to have the strength to enjoy my family and the outdoor activities I love.

  • You’re capable or more than you think...

CrossFit is more than just exercise to me, it’s community, challenging, fun, and some times entertaining. CrossFit is something I look forward to doing, not a punishment. At first I was intimidated but only because I underestimated myself. Once I realized that I was capable too, I never looked back and neither should anyone else. You’re capable or more than you think and this is the place to learn that in.

  • There are too many benefits not to do this.

I do CrossFit because I was looking for a challenge that I wasn’t getting from a conventional gym. I love the community, the variation, and the ability to learn something new. There are too many benefits not to do this. Don’t be intimated by it and expect you can do everything at once. You can scale everything to meet your fitness goals and challenge yourself when your ready for something more.

There are too many benefits not to do this.

  • There is always something to work towards.

I do CrossFit because it never gets to the point where it’s not challenging, there is always something to work towards. I enjoy pushing myself to accomplish things I didn’t think I was capable of.  I would tell anyone who has never done this that it is not easy at first but when you stick with it and embrace the suck it gets better. I’m a testament that if I can come in at 250lbs not able to even squat to a medball, and get to where I am today, anyone can!

There is always something to work towards.

  • Community is everything.

I do CrossFit for many reasons! First, I want to look hot for big momma. I also do it because it makes me feel good and allows me to do other extracurricular activities I enjoy. If it weren’t for CrossFit I would have to carry around an oxygen tank for my COPD, doing this keeps me healthy. I would tell anyone who has never done CrossFit before to choose the right gym, it’s all about the culture and the coaches. Community is everything.

    Community is everything.

  • It feels incredible to accomplish doing something you once couldn’t.

I do CrossFit to push myself to be in better shape. I hit a pleatau and found it hard to improve my fitness on my own so I decided to try CrossFit. I would tell anyone who has never done this before it is amazingly addicting and it feels incredible to accomplish doing something you once couldn’t.

  • This is a life enhancing process!

I do CrossFit because I get to workout with people who have become family to me. I do things in this environment that I know if I was to try and do on my own I would quit half way through. The community pushes me to be better and complete the workout even when I want to quit. I would tell anyone who has never done this to come in and do this at your own pace, your own level and know the people here will support you through it, this is a life enhancing process!

  • There’s always something you can improve on no matter what.

I do CrossFit because I love having that one moment of the day where I can completely focus on myself and see my progress. I love the community and the support that each individual gives to each other. I would tell anyone who’s never done CrossFit before, there’s always something you can improve on no matter what.

  • CrossFit is so much more than your everyday workout

I do CrossFit for multiple reasons, community, camaraderie, competitiveness, social, physical. Yet what I love most, is the mental stimulation I get from creating an approach to get through a workout.

I would tell anyone who was interested in trying it, give it 2 weeks, CrossFit is so much more than your everyday workout…you’ll come for the workout but you’ll stay for everything else that CrossFit does for your life.

  • I would tell anyone interested in CrossFit you can do this.

I do CrossFit because I like the combination of cardio and weights. As we age, we lose muscle mass.  Lifting weights helps to slow the progression and keeps the muscles strong around our bones. I would tell anyone interested in CrossFit you can do this. I never lifted weights prior to CrossFit and I am loving it. CrossFit Tailwinds community is very supportive with great coaches.

I would tell anyone interested in CrossFit you can do this.
